True stories by real people are always a joy. Sarah Fraser told us her story about how she is continuing a beloved tradition in her family with her goddaughter to let Maisie know how important their special bond is. Here is what Sarah wrote:
"My godmother is one of the most special people in my life, so when I got the chance to become a godmother myself (times three!) I was filled with pride and wanting to form a unique bond with each of them. My youngest and only goddaughter, Maisie, lives thousands of miles away and I wanted to do something special each year on her birthday as I’m usually not there in person. Growing up, my Godmother would give me a pearl each birthday making a beautiful necklace. I would wear the necklace on special occasions and in school pictures (I can count the pearls to tell how hold I was!) I loved the idea of continuing this tradition with Maisie so found Add-A-Pearl leading up to her first birthday. I just sent her 8th pearl for her birthday this past August. Maisie will wear her necklace to father-daughter dances and recently at her first communion. I love having this special gift between us that means just as much to me as her. Add-A-Pearl has a quality product that is convenient to share across the miles."
