"My grandmother loved pearls (I think because her name, Marjorie, means "pearl."). She started an Add-a-Pearl necklace for me when I was a toddler. Before she died, she gave me a full strand of pearls, but I have continued to add pearls here and there to the Add-a-Pearl necklace she started. Currently, there are 17 pearls on it. When my daughter turns 18, I plan to add one more and then give it to her."
